Does the poet decide when he or she writes the poem? Does the reader create his or her own meaning while reading it? Or does the poem have its own inherent meaning?<BR/><BR/>I always figured it's a writer/reader symbiosis--the overlap in the Venn diagram between what the writer intended and what the reader interpreted.
