Amy and I rang in the New Year at yet another concert -- Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, at the Disney Hall. We had seen BBVD once before, as an opening act for the Steve Miller Band in the 90's, and they put on a hell of a show. They were even better this time. They even brought on stage some caberet dancers (including a PG-13 rated stripper) for their cover of "Minnie the Moocher" and for the finale. Jazz and lingerie -- what a way to welcome 2006!
This was the first time we had attended a concert in the Disney Hall. Even though we were wedged into the cheap seats in the balcony, it was a terrific venue. We had a great view of the stage.
